The objectives of the programme are:
- To enable students to develop and fulfil their creative and intellectual abilities.
- To create innovative individuals with the thorough knowledge and practical expertise in generating, developing and realising ideas to a high professional standard.
- To encourage students to challenge the prevailing fashion ethics.
- To develop young designers geared towards employment in the fashion industry.

Advantages for the holders of the Diploma in Fashion Design:
- Become Retail Managers/Buyers of Fashion Chain Stores.
- Operate and manage their own Designing Shop.
- Become Stylists in T.V. Productions or Fashion Magazines.
- Pursue direct employment in Designers' Shops, the Clothing Industry, etc.
- Continue and complete a four year programme of study and acquire the BA Degree.
- Are exempted from the Art and Design Foundation Course and are eligible to transfer to the second year of studies for a BA Degree at UK Universities or transfer to the third year of studies at USA Universities.
- Continue their studies for a BA Degree at established universities abroad.
