FIT was awarded the Erasmus University Charter

02 May 2003 The European Commission has awarded Frederick Institute of Technology the Erasmus University Charter (EUC). Erasmus (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) is the European Commission’s educational programme for Higher Education students, teachers and institutions.

The EUC entitles an institution to apply to the National Agency for Erasmus funds for mobility:

• SM Student Mobility
• TM Teaching Staff Mobility
• OM Organisation of Mobility, including ECTS (European Credit Transfer System)

and to the European Commission for centralised projects:

• CD Curriculum development Projects
• IP Intensive Programmes
• TNP Thematic Network Projects
