We provide career counseling to our current students with personalized guidance, seminars and workshops for guidance, training and professional skills development, focusing on CV preparation, interview skills, job search, presentation skills, networking techniques, etc. Career workshops and events are announced on the relevant (Facebook page) and on our Online Platform (Career Connect).

Don't forget to visit the Career Fair organized by the Career Office every year, where you will meet potential employers and learn about employment and internship opportunities in your field.

Employers want to know they are hiring someone who has experience beyond the classroom. While you will develop the required academic knowledge and useful skills from your studies at Frederick Institute of Technology, the practical experience you gain in the workplace can further help your chances of finding the ideal job after graduation. Any type of “real world” work, short-term or long-term, before or after graduation, provides you with some experience. So do hobbies, interests, sports, volunteering, and travel.

Types of work experience you can gain as a student:

- Professional shadowing: Explore your major as well as potential career fields by spending time observing professionals in the real world.

- Volunteering: Contribute as a volunteer to campaigns and the wider community to support a cause, better understand local and global social problems and challenges, and contribute to their solution.

- Internship: Use part of your summer for an internship in Cyprus and abroad through mobility programs, such as Erasmus+ and IASTE.

- Placements: These are opportunities to work during the semester and receive credits towards your degree. Visit the Liaison Office for more information.

- Holiday and part-time work: This is a great way to develop important skills, network, fund your studies or earn extra money. Whatever the reason, you will gain valuable experience, skills and boost your CV.

 - On-Campus Employment Opportunities: The Earn While You Learn program gives you the opportunity to work at Frederick Institute of Technology, in various administrative positions and with flexible hours, so that you can meet your academic obligations at the same time.

We have developed a network of collaborating businesses and organizations and we post current employment, training and continuing education opportunities in Cyprus and abroad, on our dedicated Facebook page as well as on our Online Platform.
